Gym Skin/Glowing Gardens Skin

"Gym Skin" was a huge trend for this spring/summer. A glowing, clean, fresh, not-sweaty-but-sheeny post gym skin look. It works best when the rest of the make up is toned down and the skin is the main focus.

At Gucci the skin was sheeny and plumped in the most perfect way. The brows were left full and precise, The hair straight yet textured and the eyes bright and big.

At Balmain, although the coverage was heavier the base was still fresh and plump. The brows once again like Gucci, were thick and full.

Gym Skin and big brows were also a feature at Salvatore Ferragamo.

As part of their new collection Dior has created two beautiful illuminating powders. These can be used to achieve a glowing skin effect like those seen on catwalks this year. With a subtle base and full lashes the illuminating powder helps to catch the light on the high points of the face.

This powder comes in two colours to suit a pink or golden undertone. Embossed with a beautifully floral motif the product looks just as appealing off the skin as on.

The create the gym skin sheen, this powder would work best used with a damp brush over the top of a cream illuminator such as MAC Strobe Cream. On its own it will create a beautifully highlighted velvet skin, like that seen on the Dior SS16 catwalk. Peter Phillips created velvety skin to coincide his matte red lip.
