S/S 16 Beauty Trends

Blue Hues

Blue was everywhere on the catwalks for SS16 although the shades, placement and finish did vary.

Chanel opted for a bandit mask wash of colour across the eyes.

Roksada kept the ocean blue just around the eye, smoking it out up to the brow and under the eyes.

Missoni took a bright electric blue and created an unstructured messy statement over the brow, which worked well with the wet hair.

Marc Jacobs concentrated the colour on the inner eye lid and featured clumpy lashes

Lashes
Larger than life lashes stole the show across the fashion houses. Spidery, clumpy and exceptionally long lashes were the main feature.

Mary Katrantzou debuted "comic book lashes" focusing the volume and length on the middle of the eye.

Metallics
Makeup Artist Pat Mcgrath feautured her new Gold 001 pigment on the runway of Prada. The metallic edge was given to the models lips as the rest of the face was muted down. Full, thick brows and a clean natural skin gave the lips the centre stage.

The red lip
The red lip was kept matte at Topshop Unique and Jason Wu, with the skin given a fresh dewey, flawless glow.

The graphic eye

Fendi, Celine and D&G all sported a graphic liner.

Berry Lip
Soft, romantic vampy stains were seen on the catwalks of Burberry Prosum and Emporium Armarni.

Gym skin

"Gym Skin" was a major trend this year, a dewey, flawless glowing base.
