Jamie Nelson is a Fashion and beauty photographer who was born in Texas but raised in Colorado. At the age of 17 she moved to California and attended Brooks Institute of Photography.
When she graduated she moved to New York City to pursue her career. Since then she has participatead in art exhibits at the New Museum in NYC as well as the Corpricudi Exhibit in Rome, Italy.
Her work can be seen spread across the pages of Vogue, Allure, ELLE, Harper's Bazaar, Glamour, L'Officiel, Cosmopolitan, Tush, Lula and Vanity Fair.
Shes worked with countless companies including Maybelline, Revlon, Urban Decay, Benefit, Makeup For Ever, Target and Forever 21 and shes worked with celebrities such as Danai Gurira, Leslie Bibb, Solange Knowles and did all the Sheezus album art work for Lily Allen.

As a beauty Photographer, a lot of her work focuses on skin and this is what drew me to her work. I found while researching my chosen topic a lot of the images I would find were created by Jamie.

Her images have inspired the shots I will create as I love the lighting and skin textures she creates. I also love the variety in her pictures. I think Jamie has a wide range of techniques and experience which makes her versatile enough to have career longevity.
