Trends that have inspired my Catwalk look
For my catwalk look I have taken inspiration from a few different trends that Id like to mix together to create a certain look.
Givenchy rocked the bleach brow on the catwalk for SS16. Known faces such as Kendall, Cara Delevine and Rosie HW were transformed when their heavy brows were taken away. Id like to create a fake bleach brow on my models to open up the eye space and give me more area to work with.
Bridget and Capon, L. (2014) Cara and Kendall do bleached brows for Givenchy at PFW. Available at: http://www.cosmopolitan.co.uk/beauty-hair/makeup/news/a30016/cara-kendall-bleached-brows-givenchy-ss15/ (Accessed: 21 February 2016).
NARS' Lucia Peroni created a sunken "tobacco" eye backstage at Erdem. This beautiful burnt orange/tobacco colour makes eye colour pop and can also be taken into a metallic cooper/bronze colour which would really pick up the studio lighting well. I love the idea of a sunken eye with a bleached brow as this will give almost an alien look which could be very interesting and something a little avant garde which Dior are known for on their catwalks.
Makeup Artist Pat Mcgrath feautured her new Gold 001 pigment on the runway of Prada. The metallic edge was given to the models lips as the rest of the face was muted down. Full, thick brows and a clean natural skin gave the lips the centre stage. A metallic touch to an otherwise very sunken, dark makeup look could help brighten the face and bring life back.
