Shooting & Lighting Dewy Skin

The lighting is very important in achieving beautiful skin on camera. Diffused light is very flattering and generally speaking the softer the better. Harsh light catches the angles of the face and creates shadows making any imperfections stand out.
The light should be as close as possible to daylight as light temperature affects skin tonality and can create a unflattering colour cast.
Side lighting will emphasize uneven skin texture so not only should the light be soft, it should also be placed correctly.
The lens is a key factor in capturing a great beauty image. Typically you dont need to include much of the surroundings and so dont need a wide angle lens.

The lighting set up I will use will be a beauty dish directly infront of my model, with a diffused lights at either side. Ill achieve this diffused light with large soft boxes.
