Metallic eye
Pat McGrath created a new wave of metallic this year as she introduced her Gold 001 product. She showcased this on the catwalks of Prada as a bold gold lip with minimal makeup everywhere else.
I love this as bringing a metallic shade down onto the lips instead of the eyes isnt something we usually see and can often be misinterpreted as the throw back 90's makeup mishap that was frosted lipstick; think 1995 Pamela Anderson...

But Pat has made this bold statement look something worth recreating. This looks works best when the rest of the makeup is muted, a well groomed brow and a lick of mascara is enough to accentuate the features and make the bold, metallic shade a stand out feature.
Im thinking of using this trend and playing around with it on the eyes and lips. I'd love to pair this with a fresh dewy base as i think the light the metallic eye will pick up will flatter the youthful skin.
